Maybelline dream fresh BB cream review!

So, for my first proper post on here I decided a review would be a good idea as a lot of people like them, I think... so, my product of choice is, drum role please, Maybellines dream fresh BB cream.

So, Maybellines BB cream has been pretty hyped up, rightfully so, and is actually a good product. However like with any product there's always something negative to pick out, as well as the positives.
So lets get the negatives out of the way and end this post on a good note with the positives. So, sometimes I find that blending the BB cream is hard, but others it just blends right in, I don't know if that is because the amount I wear varies or if its just the method I use however, I would love for the blending to be easy all the time no matter what. Also for me a negative would definitely be the smell, I really can't stand it, I don' really know how to explain he scent properly, it reminds me slightly of cinnamon, but I don't know. Also I would love for a wider colour selection for this product because there is only three I believe, and one very orange looking colour called 'universal glow' so there could definitely be more colours.
Okay lets start the positives with a list of what it claims to do:

  1. Creates a natural glow
  2. Compliments skin tone
  3. SPF30 UV protection
  4. Hydrates all day
  5. Blurs imperfections
  6. Oil free, non-greasy
  7. Looks visibly smooth
  8. Feels fresh

So, they're some big clams, but which does the BB cream fulfil?

  1. Yes, this product has a perfectly dewy finish and makes skin look glowy without looking sweaty.
  2. I'm not sure, because it matches my skin, but it looks good on so I guess yes, it compliments my skin tone.
  3. Well, I'm going to have to trust Maybelline on this one, but I've never been burnt wearing it so there is obviously UV protection in there.
  4. Yes, this product most definitely hydrates skin all day, I have skin that's rarely oily and rarely dry so I don't know really how this would work for either of those skin types, however for my skin this product works well and keeps any dry patches I occasionally get away.
  5. I have very few spots or imperfections on my face, however the chicken pox scar I have on my forehead always looks less obvious when I'm wearing this product, so I think it blurs imperfections, I don't know, it definitely reduces the appearance of them.
  6. This doesn't make my skin oily or greasy feeling or looking, so I can definitely say this is a non-greasy and oil free product.
  7. When i wear this product my skin looks as close to perfect as it possibly can, and it is smooth to the touch and it looks smooth, so it fulfils this claim.
  8. This is a wobbly one for me, because I take 'feels fresh' as it claiming to make you feel like you have just washed your face all day, and I half agree with this, I have only worn this on really hot days (33°c) so I was inevitably sweating, and this made most of my make up come off, however for a good few hours I did feel fresh, so yes it does keep you feeling fresh, but not in extreme heat.

So overall I love this product and recommend it to anyone! Thanks for reading (:
